The best is yet to come Bible verses

Following are 10 Bible verses that talk of the best that is yet to come:

1. 1 Corinthians 2:9

“But as it is written, Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

According to this scripture, God has prepared great things for those who love Him and keep His ways. These are the born-again Christian believers who have given up everything in pursuit of the higher calling of God.

This scripture is a promise to believers that no matter the difficulties they are currently experiencing, God has much better things in store for them, both now and in the age to come.

2. Psalm 31:19

“Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men.”

According to this scripture, those who fear God have been promised good things by Him in the presence of the sons of men. This means that they will experience good in this life, in spite of the many challenges that life throws at them.

3. Proverbs 10:28

“The hope of the righteous will be gladness, but the expectation of the wicked will perish.”

According to this scripture, those who pursue righteousness should expect gladness in their latter days.

The Bible teaches that righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne (Psalm 89:14). So when you engage in righteous works, God is pleased and rewards you accordingly.

4. Isaiah 42:9

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth, I tell you of them.”

In this scripture, God speaks to the children of Israel, informing them of a brighter future that is to unfold right before their eyes. This means that God does not completely forget His people when they are going through life’s troubles. Instead, He visits them at His appointed time to do them good.

5. Isaiah 43:18–19

“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Here, God is instructing the children of Israel to forget their current predicaments and focus on the good He is about to do them. He promises them two things, namely, a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

When one is in the wilderness, he is simply lost because there are no roads to help him get to the desired destination. Therefore, when God promises to make a road in the wilderness, it means that He will instruct you on how to get to your desired destination in life.

A desert is a place where water is scarce. Without water, there is no life. We know that the Word of God is spirit and life-giving (John 6:63).

So when God promises rivers of water in your deserts, it means that He will avail His word to you during the trying moments to help you through.

6. Isaiah 64:4

“For since the beginning of the world, men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, who acts for the one who waits for Him.”

In this scripture, God promises to act for those who wait on Him. Waiting on God is not an easy task given the many pressures that life exerts on the believer.

The pressure to conform to the dictates and patterns of this world has made many believers compromise and hence miss out on God’s visitation.

However, for those who have chosen to wait by enduring the trials and temptations of this life, God has not disappointed them.

7. Isaiah 65:17

“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.”

In this scripture, God is promising to recreate everything and thus erase the past from the memories of His people.

8. Romans 8:28

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

These words were penned by the Apostle Paul to encourage believers that no matter how hard things may get, ultimately, God’s goodness will carry the day.

The key is to remain steadfast in the word of God despite persistent opposition from the devil, the flesh, and the world.

9. Job 8:7

“Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would increase abundantly.”

This scripture is an encouragement to believers who are struggling to get from the infancy level of their lives to another. It is a reminder that things will get better as the days go by, as long as they continue running the race of faith with endurance (Hebrew 12:1-3).

10. Revelation 21:5

“Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

This scripture gives hope to every believer that a day is soon coming when God will do away with the current systems of the world and replace them with a new order of Godly people led by Christ Jesus.

This will entail overthrowing the principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, and spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places currently ruling the world (Ephesians 6:12).

These will be replaced by the Messianic Kingdom to be established by God, as recorded in Revelation 11:15. This scripture says:

“Then the seventh angel sounded: and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!’”

Conclusion

This article discussed 10 Bible verses that talk about the best yet to come. The reviewed scriptures indicate that God is ready and willing to do His people good, both in this life and in the age to come. So as a child of God, run the race of faith with endurance, and God will never disappoint you. I leave you with the words of Jesus recorded in Mark 10:29–30. The scripture says:

“So Jesus answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.’”

God bless you.

Shalom.
