The Bible teaches that God hates arrogance and punishes those who are of a proud spirit. Consequently, as believers, we need to walk in humility, following the example set for us by Jesus Christ, our savior.
Arrogance and pride is synonymous with boasting, conceit, egotism, haughtiness, hubris, insolence, and self-importance, among other terms (Oxford Languages Dictionary).
