what are some of the scriptures for healing?

Here are scriptures that describe God’s healing available to His people:

2 Kings 20:1-7 (NET)

“In those days, Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, ‘Thus says the LORD: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’’

Then he turned his face toward the wall and prayed to the LORD, saying, ‘Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.’ and Hezekiah wept bitterly.

And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle of the court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying, ‘Return and tell Hezekiah, the leader of My people,‘ Thus says the LORD, the God of David, your father: ‘I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you.

On the third day, you shall go up to the house of the LORD. And I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the King of Assyria, and I will defend this city for My own sake and for the sake of My servant David.’”

Psalm 30:2 (NLV)

“O LORD my God, I cried out to You for help, and You healed me.”

Psalm 107:20 (NIV)

“He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.”

Isaiah 58:8 (NKJV)

“Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go forth before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.”

Jeremiah 17:14 (NIV)

“Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”

Jeremiah 33:6 (NIRV)

“But now I will bring health and healing to Jerusalem. I will heal my people. I will let them enjoy great peace and security.”

Malachi 4:2 (NKJV)

“But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves.”

Matthew 4:23 (NIV)

“Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.”

Matthew 8:1-4 (NIV)

“When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, ‘Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.’

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing.’ He said. ‘Be clean!’ Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, ‘See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift Moses commanded as a testimony to them.’”

Matthew 8:14-16 (ESV)

“And when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever. He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and began to serve him. That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.”

Matthew 9:35 (NKJV)

“Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”

Luke 4:40 (ESV)

“Now when the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to him, and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them.”

Mark 5:34 (ESV)

“And he said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease. ’”

Luke 6:18-20 (CEB)

“They came to hear him and to be healed from their diseases, and those bothered by unclean spirits were healed. The whole crowd wanted to touch him because power was going out from him and he was healing everyone.”

Luke 9:11 (NKJV)

“But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him, and He received them, spoke about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.”

Luke 17:11 (NIV)

“Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. And he was going into a village; ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, ‘Jesus, Master, have pity on us!’

When he saw them, he said, ‘Go show yourselves to the priests.’ And as they went, they were cleansed.

One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.

Jesus asked, ‘Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?’ Then he said to him, ‘Rise and go; your faith has made you well.’”

John 5:1-8 (NIV)

“Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, ‘Do you want to get well?’

‘Sir,’ the invalid replied, ‘I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.’

Then Jesus said to him, ‘I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.’

Then Jesus said to him, ‘Get up! Pick up your mat and walk. At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.’”

1 Corinthians 12:28 (NKJV)

“And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.”

James 5:13-15 (NLV)

“Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone happy? He should sing songs of thanks to God. Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the church leaders, and they should pray for him. They should pour oil on him in the name of the Lord. The prayer given in faith will heal the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.”

1 Peter 2:24 (ESV)

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds, you have been healed.”

I hope this is helpful. Thank you.
